R-2000 is a standard for building a home that considers the following:

• Additional inspection at the pre-drywall stage
• Built by a licensed R-2000 builder

An R-2000 home is a step above ENERGY STAR®. It will usually have a higher EnerGuide rating and perform more efficiently.
