Whatever the assembly you're dealing with, there must be drying potential to the inside and out.

This means:

• Weather barrier and strapping on the exterior, along with siding vents to allow outside moisture to leave freely.
• Smart barriers on the interior to allow for variable controls in humid and dry seasons.
• Constant ventilation with balanced HVAC and HRV / ERV.

If moisture can't accumulate, your assemblies have a better chance of staying dry and lasting longer.
