There are various types of virtual events but at the base level,
they are all the same. They are events in which you have the
opportunity to share content with an audience via bridge line or
webinar.
Here are examples of virtual events:
- Teleseminar - the most basic type of virtual event.
Hosted by yourself and a content expert or the content can be
delivered by you. Done on a bridge line where people call in to
listen to you, and possibly a guest speaker, speak on a specific
topic. Can be free to attend or you can charge a fee for the event
or just the recording.
- Webinar - a webinar is similar to a teleseminar with the
main difference being that visuals are shown from your computer to
your participant's computers. Webinars also, usually, have a space
where your registrants can ask questions to you and / or your guest
speaker.
- Group coaching program - a group coaching program is an
on-going series of teleseminars that starts on a specific date and
continues to an end date. The material is highly niched and the
group is usually the same from the beginning of the program to the
end. They are always a paid program and the price tag can be quite
steep.
- Telesummit - a telesummit is a group of speakers that
are brought together by one organization or event coordinator to
speak on a specific theme. The event is packaged and sold as one
event and the price tag is much higher than a standalone
teleseminar. Some organizations use these as list builders and they
upsell recordings and other items on the backend.
