LinkedIn has recently reached 200 million users and gone through a few visual design changes. You may still be using the older view, so be sure to upgrade to easily follow along.
This is the current Home view for your personal profile (as shown through my profile).
When sharing a status update, be sure to add a URL directly in the update field. This will end up boosting traffic to your site because LinkedIn will pull some information from your site (pictures for that thumbnail image, and a short description).
You can also choose to share the link to a connected Twitter account (we'll get to how to do that soon). The other two options are to share publicly to anyone on LinkedIn or exclusively to your network through "connections".
