Optimizing Your Headline

You need to make sure that you put yourself in a position of authority. You can portray that through your headline. Think of it as the magnet that will get people hooked and attract them to reading more.

Here's mine:

I've placed that i'm an authority figure because of my #1 book on LinkedIn and Webinar Marketing; that I'm the founder of a different consulting company; and finally that I'm an expert speaker on the subject of social marketing.

If you're focusing on one specific industry, you want your headline to communicate who you are, who you help, and how you help them - all in the least amount of words while placing yourself in a positive and authoritative light.

Think of it as the magnet that will attract people to your profile.
