This is what your group page will look like to the people who join it. It's very similar to the home feed, but involves the members of the group.



The very first thing you should do after creating your group is to click the "Group Tab" then click 'Manage' across the top, and select "template" from the left hand side.



Select the 'Welcome Message' and make sure it's on auto-send. Click "Edit template".




This will allow you to edit the contents of the welcome message all members of the group will receive. Attached is my message for you to have a look at and draw inspiration from.

The most important thing is that you send them to a unique page on your site where you ask them to confirm their membership and opt-in to your mailing list by entering their name and email. You can offer them something in return if you need to make it more enticing.
