Creating LinkedIn Ads

You can access LinkedIn Ads by logging into your personal account and clicking the blue link in the top left hand corner (right next to the logo) that reads "Go To LinkedIn Ads". This will take you to the ads dashboard and give you an overview of your recent activity (unless the campaign is hidden from view). You can that some of my most recent campaigns haven't been put to use much.

To create a new ad campaign, go ahead and click on the blue link "New Ad Campaign" above the top right of the dashboard. Name it and then add the landing page url and image (follow the preceding task to best do that).

LinkedIn Allows you to create variations right away and I'd recommend taking the time to make at least 2 variations if not more to test out and see which on resonates more with your audience. You also want to be aware of ad character limits so check out the Pro Tip.

The next step is targeting and the system is quite similar to Facebook's. You can target specific people or types of professionals:

The final step of the process is to set your CPC bid. The daily budget is up to you, but I'd recommend letting the campaign and its variations run for at least 2 weeks.
