Energy efficiency retrofits in social housing present an enormous opportunity to protect against energy price increases, reduce greenhouse gas and air pollution emissions and create more comfortable spaces for residents. There are significant benefits that can come from ensuring that experiences and lessons learned from retrofit projects are shared across the social housing and municipal corporate energy sector.

This workshop brought together Social Housing Facility Providers; Social Housing Service Managers; Municipal Energy Staff; Utility Energy Efficiency Social Housing Program Staff; Social Housing Network Organizations; and others interested in supporting/advancing social housing energy efficiency projects/experiences to hear presentations on social housing energy efficiency retrofit programs, case studies and lessons learned, and partnership efforts being undertaken between municipal departments and social housing providers.
