Crowdspring is similar to 99designs. You can occasionally also find freelance designers directly from their Dribbble accounts

In most cases money is paid directly to the website company and passed onto the developer.

Posting a job:

When posting an online job, you are giving a high-level summary of your requirements. Remember that often this information is public or open to registered users of the site so you may not want to give away your million dollar idea but just enough information that you get a good response to your brief.

If you are looking for a designer separately, you may need to post a job for a designer first, engage with the designer and then look for a development team by posting a job once you have made good progress on the designs.

When writing your brief, you will probably need to think of the following:

• Your Estimated Budget Range
• Your Timelines and Expectations
• The category of your job listing (usually a drop-down menu option)
• Location - some sites allow you to specify regions where you will and won't accept proposals from.
