The super-insulated wall is a double-frame providing a double-depth cavity. The studs are staggered to eliminate

thermal and sound paths. Unfaced batts are used in the outer wall. If desired, a vapor retarder may be applied to the inner stud wall either separately or by using faced batts. (See Figure 7.)
