9.25.5. Properties and Position of Materials in the Building Envelope

9.25.5.1.(1) Materials are required to be placed in specific positions in an assembly if:
1. the material
  1. qualifies as an air barrier and
  2. qualifies as a vapour barrier and
2. The intended use of the interior space will NOT result in high moisture generation.
9.25.5.1.(2) If the interior use WILL result in high moisture generation, the assembly must be engineered.
