Installing the vapour retarder and/or air barrier:

If a pipe or wire needs to run through the vapour retarder, make sure to seal properly (As explained in the sealing penetrations section). If the vapour retarder is also going to be used as the air barrier, make sure to overlap each section of vapour retarder by a minimum of 4" and seal with acoustical sealant.
