Sealing Interior Partitions:

Any interior wall that meets an exterior wall or ceiling, must be sealed to maintain the continuity of the air barrier. This can be done by:

1. Sealing all joints between structural components.

2. Covering the top and bottom plates with an air barrier material and sealing it to the adjacent air barrier material, as seen in the top right photo.

3. Use the plates as part of the air barrier, and seal the adjacent air barrier materials to them.
