The most straightforward air barrier approach for this assembly is to use the self-adhered sheathing membrane over the roof sheathing.

Continuity of the air barrier at transitions and penetrations is critical to its performance. This membrane may also be used as temporary roofing during construction, and should therefore also be detailed as watertight.
