Basic Training Concepts

There are a couple of concepts that need to be expanded on before we get into the workouts themselves, as we'll be talking about them (and using them) a lot:

  • True high Intensity Training--working to failure (or near it)
  • Objective Assessment Metrics--how do you know how hard you're working?

There are also two ideas that need to be properly understood in order to get the most out of the program. They are:

  • Recovery--how do you know when you're ready to go?
  • Baseline workouts--repeatability!
