Basic Training Concepts

There are only really a few training principles, in the entire world of fitness, that are worth a damn. Among these, consistency reigns supreme. Simply put, you must practice consistency to make lasting improvements in just about anything. What this means for you, one-hour-series fan, is that regular workouts are key. Beyond this, there are a few other specific things that will be critical components to consider given our audacious goal of going far on limited training. These are--

  1. Baseline Workouts,
  2. Training Variability
  3. Rest/Recovery
  4. Training Paces
  5. Scheduling for bigger efforts
