Probably the most effective form of publicity is by word of
mouth. Employees and directors may well make a point of talking up
the meeting on every occasion and during every conversation with a
member. Interest can be created and the individual member can be
given a feeling of responsibility if simply asked for
suggestions.
By selecting a committee, or one individual in each community,
word-of-mouth publicity can be organized to reach virtually every
member either by a visit or by telephone. This procedure can be
further stimulated by arranging a contest, with small prizes, for
the group or locality that has the highest percent of
attendance.
