Promotional campaigns are great fun for marketing departments - be it events, freebies, or giveaways. But, promotion goes much deeper than this and it's vital that you as a marketeer or your marketing teams don't get carried away with the 'free pens' and concentrate instead, on the outcomes of your campaigns.

Marketing should, after all, inform your customers and persuade them to buy your product or service.

Marketing can be split into 3 categories:

  1. Hygiene marketing
  2. Day to day marketing
  3. Tactical campaigns
