Let's look first of all at where diversity and inclusion initiatives seem to be having a positive impact:
- In the UK, when looking at the gender pay gap over time, all age groups (apart from those aged 60 years and over) have seen narrowing gaps since 1997.
- 16 to 30-year-olds from ethnic minority groups tend to have narrower pay gaps than older ethnic minority groups. (ONS data)
Data is also being gathered now which helps us to track progress in D&I including:
- gender pay gap data
- learning and development data
- annual people surveys - bullying, harassment and discrimination scores
- benchmarking
