7.2.26 Describe wind-, ventilation-, mechanical- and reverse stack-effect
Wind creates a high pressure area on one side of the building, low on the reverse;
Ventilation effect occurs when pressure differences are created by ventilation equipment operating in the home (ie. exhaust fans, clothes dryers, central vac)
Mechanical and Flue Effect are called "Combustion Effect" in KTHI:
Mechanical effect occurs when power-vented furnaces or water heaters operate
Flue effect occurs when the draft from chimneys creates negative pressure inside the house
Reverse stack occurs in cooling season, when air may be drawn in at the top of the building where pressure is lowest
