2.4.2 Apply the program/mode function in HOT2000

The Programs drop down is used to select the program/mode that will determine how HOT2000 performs calculation runs. Certain metrics such as standard operating conditions may or may not be overwritten by the program/mode selected.

  • General, which does not restrict user inputs or apply any prescriptive requirements. Do not use this mode for the EnerGuide Rating System.
  • EnerGuide Rating System, which adheres to the most recent technical specifications developed by Natural Resources Canada for the EnerGuide Rating System. Select this when evaluating a house under the EnerGuide Rating System. This selection results in standard operating conditions being applied.
  • ERS Ontario Reference House, Select this option for houses located in Ontario evaluated under the EnerGuide Rating System. This selection also results in standard operating conditions being applied.
