Goals

When it comes to the beginning phases of running your life through fitness, your goals are your road map to success.

Without goals you are just hitting the gym or following a program for the sake of it. If there is no passion behind your workouts or your planning then it will be short lived and get pretty boring pretty fast. What you want to do is dream! And then plan your goals based on your dreams, set to work and watch them unfold!

Follow these simple steps to set goals that you are excited to go after, that don't seem impossible and that can get you excited.

  • DREAM - Take out a piece of paper, our your journal and start to dream! Write down all the things you would do in life if you didn't have to worry about money, time or being realistic. Be sure to include some fitness goals in there for course.
  • ORGANIZE - Break your dreams down into sections, for these next 10 days we will be working with your fitness goals.
  • SHORT TERMS - Take 3 of your big dreams and break them down into smaller goals that include dates, a finish line for that goal. For example, if you want to lose 30lbs set short term, incremental goals to help you get there. The first might be a) find a program to follow by July 4th 2014 then b) find a coach to work with then July 4th 2014 c) set my schedule July 5th 2014 and c) Set my schedule and pick the time of day each day I am going to workout July 6th 2014. Finally d) Workout 3 times a week for the next month until I reach the first half of my goal.
  • GO PUBLIC - Go public with your goals in the Facebook group. It is going to feel a little scary to tell others about your goals but with goal setting needs to come accountability. The best of the best have coaches holding them accountable to ensure they do go after their goals. If it doesn't stretch you it's not worth going after. Tell the world what you are trying to accomplish and make it happen!
  • REPEAT - Chose other goals you would like to accomplish through out the year and repeat this process.
