Ah the grocery store!

So many bright florescent lights, so much food and so many options! So much great nutrition and so much packaged stuff I wouldn't even call food! So how do you shop to help you reach your health and fitness goals?

What's the best way to spend the least amount of money and get enough healthy food!?Our Top Tips To Shop For The Best Food Possible

  1. Avoid the middle aisles of the stores. All of the best, most nutritious food is on the outer areas and most of the processed and boxed food is in the middle.
  2. Start with your fruits and veggies, they are right at the front. Get a lot of green things and foods with bright colours.
  3. In the dairy section I recommend only buying cottage cheese and yogurt. Do not purchase anything fat free, I buy 4% cottage cheese and full fat organic yogurt.
  4. Stay away from as many boxed and processed foods as possible. Bake yourself and your kids these delicious healthy RUN cookies!

RUN Cookies:

  • 1 cups rolled oats (gluten free)
  • cinnamon
  • craisins
  • natural peanut butter
  • shredded coconut
  • 1 banana
  • bake at 350 degrees F. for no longer than 15 minutes.(add as much as you would like of each ingredient, I don't really measure anything!)
