An server salmonella outbreak happened in California in August in 2010. Ministry of health in California announced that there were salmonella outbreak in many areas in the state and more than 250 infected cases were reported from June to August. Initial inquiries revealed that most patients got infected by eating eggs. It seemed that these eggs were infected with salmonella. Meanwhile, Minnesota diagnosed that at least 7 case were related to salmonella. It was reported from Associated Press that salmonella patients in other states were increasing rapidly. The salmonella patients increased by 4 times than the usual number of patients. American's Centers for Disease Control(CDC)
cooperated with the State Health Department to do the investigation. Later, they decided to recall these eggs and the number of recalling eggs reached to 550 million.
