This guide is for people who are new to Shopify and want to learn the basics of the software quickly. It's also for people who already use Shopify and think a book could help them get a better grasp of the software and serve as a handy reference for specific tasks.

In writing the guide I assumed that the reader was already familiar with a web browser and web applications (such as Hotmail or Facebook). There's no need for HTML, CSS or programming skills. They're not necessary in order to create a beautiful store with Shopify, so I felt they were beyond the scope of this guide.
