Run for your life!
Oh, and carry everything that you'll need with you at all times.
And that brings us to a critical realization: you just won't be able to carry everything that you need. You'll only be able to carry the stuff that you REALLY need.
And that means you'll need a bag. Two bags, probably.
The first and most critical type of bag is a proper back pack. Not the kind that you use to carry your books to school in. And not the enormous types that you see in movies with hikers wearing as they head off into the wilderness.
You'll need something a little bigger than a book bag, but not so big that you can't comfortably wear it for the next three to five years.
I'd recommend something like this: World War II Military Style Backpack . It's lightweight, has a big main compartment, and it's small enough that you won't be tempted to overload it with stuff that will weigh you down and make it easier for the zombies to catch you.
I also recommend carrying a second bag, an over the shoulder or messenger bag. And remember guys, it's a satchel, not a purse. The bigger, the better. It's great for collecting stuff on the run, so keep it mostly empty so you have room when you find good stuff.
Try and find one that doesn't have lots of little compartments. One big compartment will work best. You'll look stylish and capable if you can find one like this, the St. Tropez Messenger from Levenger.
