Introduction To Talent Untapped

Close your eyes for a minute and imagine...

You wake up tomorrow unable to see, having been struck by a rare disease...

You are in a horrible car accident and won't ever walk again unassisted...

You develop Parkinson's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, muscular dystrophy, cystic fibrosis, multiple sclerosis or one of dozens of debilitating diseases...

And while you're trying to deal with the physical and emotional trauma of your new life, you find out that you're also no longer employable. That you've been marginalized and on top of losing physical abilities, you lose a sense of value in society.

Now imagine it doesn't happen to you, but it happens to your life partner, or family member. Imagine it's your son or daughter who is born with a disability and while you imagine all of the challenges they will face as they grow, you realize that statistically they won't be able to find a job either.

Now open your eyes.

For millions of people across the nation, this isn't an imaginary situation, it's the reality of their daily life. In fact, it's reality for up to 20% of your community who are already struggling and don't get the opportunities that we take for granted - to have dignity, and feel like they are productive, valuable members of our society.

This guide is an attempt to raise awareness on the important social issue of employment for people with disability in concert with our kickstarter project to launch a documentary on the same topic. We hope this guide will help open your eyes to the plight of millions of people and that you'll support and share our campaign to create awareness and social change.
