I know I keep mentioning it but there really is a misconception that outsourcing automatically results in mass redundancies and jobs disappearing abroad - of course it can mean this, particularly in enterprise or public-sector situations BUT done right it can help support the growth of an existing team and the growth of a company by increasing the out capacity (and quality) without immediately having to bring more physically located employees.
You can make the most of what you already have and then look to scale your team further.
Many of our key employees enjoy a 20 hour work week - designed that way on purpose - to give them more freedom to pursue other activities outside of their work that they love. This wouldn't be possible if we didn't have a virtually located production team.
Furthermore, it creates a very interesting and vibrant culture within our company as we get to connect with individuals who are very different to ourselves and get involved with community events taking place thousands of miles away. It is a really inspiring way of working and one that I'm sure you can tell I am quite passionate about.
