Facebook

Facebook is the king of Social Media, and pretty much anything about anyone is on there.

The idea here is not to directly message people, spam them or oven buys ads.

1. Facebook Groups: Much like Meetup, Facebook has some active online (and offline) groups. These groups have group organizers. Befriend the organizers of relevant groups, give them an incentive to share with their group and if it's good enough, you'll likely convert some of their members and get some free exposure to a targeted audience.

2. Extract Info from Ads: No, you do not have to pay for an ad to try this. Just pretend like you're going to create an ad, fill in all the necessary info, and you'll be shown a ton of info ranging from how many people are in this target, their interests, etc. This is a nice way to take advantage of some of the insights from Facebook.

3. Create Sharable Content: Anything from infographics, to feel good stories, to interesting things within or about your business. Upworthy has completely taken this to another level using Facebook as an engine for massive virality. In any case, these types of things can be a good starting point, even if you're not going viral. Plus, before you spend money on paid advertising, it's always good to test out content with your current supporters. If they don't like it, then there's no need to waste money on trying to get other people who have never heard of your brand to like it, either.
