Yep, no "hack" here.

I think you'd be surprised how effective this strategy can be in the early days of a business.

My advice would be to pick about 4-5 great blogs for your product, setup a IFTTT where you receive a text message every time that blog posts an article, read the post, then comment on the article with some extra info or something that can add value and show that you know what you're talking about.

For example, I do this with QuickSprout and KISSMetrics. Their comment section allows me to fill out my name, email and site. Almost every time I leave an insightful comment I get a new subscriber or two to my blog.

I read the articles and have some thoughts on them anyway, so why not pick up a few extra followers while I'm at it?
