Water
This is the most important thing to have with you on the trail. Carry several bottles with you, or even better, invest in a hydration pack.
Avoid drinks with high sugar and caffeine content. These will cause dehydration.
Snacks
Having a few snacks on the trail is a great treat, and can help keep you going longer. Pack snacks with high carbohydrate and protein content to keep your body fueled as you go.
Important! Don't feed the wildlife. It's important for them to keep their natural diet.
Camera
No hike would be complete without your camera! Keep your camera close at hand to snap photos of the gorgeous scenery you'll encounter.
