Just like in any place, there are some etiquette guides that will make everyone's experience on the trail more enjoyable.
Take only pictures, leave only footprints
Sure, it's "only you" taking home a souvenir from the park, but when the park sees thousands of visitors, it all adds up. The same thing applies to your trash. It builds up, and can cause damage to the ecosystems of the park.
Stay on the trails
Many of the parks have fragile ecosystems, and are used as rehabilitation centers for flora and fauna alike. Staying on the trails ensures that rare species have a chance to thrive. It's also a safety issue, as it can be very easy to lose your way, or walk into a dangerous area.
Yielding
On a trail, ascending hikers always have right-of-way. If you are heading down a trail, step to the side to allow ascending hikers to pass.
Follow these simple rules, and you're guaranteed to have a great time on the trail!
