All of these technical skills wrapped up in a marketing mind might sound similar to the "growth hacker" who has been all the rage the past few years. So what's the difference between the two? Well, a growth hacker is still largely in charge of building a company's product, and he/she keeps marketing in mind while doing so. The growth hacker literally "hacks" the company's growth by refining the product to better acquire customers.
The fullstack marketer and the growth hacker are similar in that they both share similar technical and design skills, and are in charge of attracting and converting customers. But the FSM does this through traditional marketing activities, while the growth hacker does this mostly through product refinements.
