Lane is a product designer at Carbon Five and a popular teacher and speaker on the subjects of user experience (UX), Lean Startup, Agile and product design. Recent speaking engagements include QConSF, the Michigan Lean Startup Conference and Agile UX NYC.

She collaborates with LUXr, Lean Startup Machine, Los Angeles StartupWeekend, StartupUCLA and MuckerLab as a speaker and mentor. An active member of her professional community, Lane is a long-term participant in the Interaction Design Association (IxDA). She is also a founding member of Balanced Team, a working group of software professionals who promote multidisciplinary collaboration focused on customer value and iterative design and delivery as an engine for innovation.
