It all starts with the right perspective…

We're in the midst of the information age, and thoughtful blog posts get published every hour offering some new opinion. There was one in particular that caught my attention. It talked about our obsession with the proposal and the wedding instead of the engagement and the marriage. The glitz, the glam-instead of the commitment.

So I just want to say this: In the midst of all your planning and dreaming, don't forget why you're planning a wedding in the first place. Because you only wear the dress once. The next day you're simply a married woman and you have a marriage, not a wedding, to work on. While planning your special day, don't forget about the relationship with your spouse-to-be that needs cultivating.
