Get More Eyes On Your Listing With REALTOR.ca Data Distribution Facility (DDF®)

CREA's DDF® is a permission-based service that lets you extend your own listings in a controlled environment by distributing your listing data to other REALTORS® as well as approved third-party sites.

Before DDF®, REALTORS® had to invest time in re-creating listings for each individual 3rd party website; and when a listing changed, the REALTOR® had to go onto each site and update the content. This time consuming process took time away from other activities.

Important: Check with your Broker to see if you are eligible to enroll to the DDF® service. This system will free up time.

Tip No.1

Tip No. 3

Connect with your broker: You need to be on the same page as your broker. Your broker is the one who can opt into DDF® and set the necessary permissions.

Tip No. 4

Filters on the National Shared Pool (NSP): By default the NSP feed you create contains all listings from the national pool. However, you can use filters to customize the feed for your website i.e. just cottages from Ontario or condos from Toronto.

Filters can be found by visiting the DDF® dashboard and selecting "Manage My Data Feeds".

Tip No. 5

Understanding the National Franchisor Pool (NFP): It's important to be aware of the differences between the NSP and the NFP. Listing content in the NFP is pulled and displayed by Franchisors who have signed an agreement with CREA. Contrary to the NSP, with the NFP it is not possible for Franchisors to customize the feed. All listing content in the NFP will be displayed on each Franchisor site. You do not have to be an agent of one of the participating Franchises to opt your listings into the NFP.

To get your listings in the NFP talk to your broker.

Tip No. 6

Understanding 3rd party destinations: DDF® also allows you to have your listings appear on several other real estate sites. All the leads derived from these sites will be directed to the listing agent (another good reason to make sure we have your correct email address). Because of the contracts that have been signed by these 3 rd Parties, your listings will be displayed on the site you choose.

Talk to your broker about opting in to DDF® 3rd party destinations.

Tip No. 7

Managing 3rd party destinations: To take advantage of 3rd party destinations, it is important to activate your DDF® Dashboard. Your dashboard allows you to select your distribution destinations and provide regular updates regarding available destinations.
