Listen To Your Body

Listen to the signals being sent by your body and brain. If you are tired, take a break. If skiing for several days in a row, be particularly aware that on the third day tiredness from traveling and skiing normally combines. Statistics show that by the third day your physical condition reaches its lowest point. However, it is normally just at this point that you get the feeling that you can begin to take advantage of the techniques you have been taught earlier. A combination of overestimating ones technique and underestimating one's tiredness, leads to injury all too often.

Ski courses increase your awareness of movement and understanding of the mechanics of skiing and generally give you the time to think about and reflect on your skiing. There should also be time enough for you to practice certain movements that will eventually become automatic, increasing your safety markedly.
