With the introduction of carving skis the desire to play, experiment and slide in different ways increased among the skiing population.

The carving skis have made it easier to learn how to ski and cuts a much safer line through the snow. On carving skis you can ski and traverse the slope faster. For these very reasons though, be aware of an increased risk from other skiers coming behind you on the slope.
