Introduction

The group begins by creating a community covenant, and learning about the CUC context for this reflection guide.

Before engaging in cross­cultural work, participants experience several exercises to help them become more aware of their own social and cultural backgrounds. They reflect on what we mean by culture, explore their various social identities (using the CUC Diversity Monitoring Group's Social Identities exercise), and share about their cultural backgrounds.

Using the above as context, they learn about Aboriginal approaches to identify and relationship to the land.
