Introduction

Participants reflect on what healing and reconciliation means to them, and next steps they want to take in that process. This session is built around Reconciliation Canada's Kitchen Table Dialogue Community Action Toolkit.

To create understanding and cultural context, we view three short videos in which we hear what life was like pre-European contact, some experiences of a Residential School survivor, and elders from various cultural communities reflecting on what reconciliation means to them from their cultural context.

With this background, participants answer three rounds of questions to help them explore their own experience and understanding of healing and reconciliation. This exploration process varies from individual reflection time, diads, small groups, and whole group discussion.
