This advice seems totally obvious, but every time that I forget to do it, I regret it. The worst feeling is being ready to go and then having to search around the house for fifteen minutes for your keys before figuring out you left them in the door all night.

On your way into the house each day, put your keys and wallet in the same spot. You can even put a table right by the door just for this purpose. (Or a shelf if you're the DIY type.)
