Linking Pages And Anchors

Inter-page links

To create a link to another page in your site, first identify the name of the page you want to reach. The page name appears underneath each page in the page browser when you click "Pages" at the bottom of the PageCloud editor.

To create a clickable link from text

  • Select some text, then click the link icon in the text editing frame,
  • Ensure the link type is set to "Page" and then select the page within your site that you would like this link to direct to.
  • when you "View Live" you can now click the text and navigate to the selected page.





To create a clickable link from an object

  • Select an object, then click the link tab in the PageCloud palette,
  • click the HYPERLINK box,
  • Ensure the link type is set to "Page" and then select the page within your site that you would like this link to direct to.
  • when you "View Live" you can now click the object and navigate to the selected page.


Same-page anchor links

To create a link to an anchor point on the same page

  • First select the target object to set as the anchor,
  • click the Data tab in the PageCloud palette,
  • in the "ID" field, enter a simple name for the anchor. Note - this name is case sensitive.

To create a clickable link from text

  • Select some text, then click the link icon in the text editing frame,
  • Ensure the link type is set to URL and in the field, enter the # symbol followed by the name of the anchor (no spaces). Make sure the protocol field is set to "other",
  • when you "View Live" you can now click the text and navigate to the anchor point.

To create a clickable link from an object

  • Select an object, then click the link tab in the PageCloud palette
  • click the HYPERLINK box,
  • Ensure the Link Type is set to auto, and in the URL field, enter the # symbol followed by the name of the anchor (no spaces). Make sure the protocol field is set to "none",
  • when you "View Live" you can now click the object and navigate to the anchor point
