Determine Your Core Terms, Secondary Terms, And Future Blog Post Terms

Download the information in a csv-xls format for more details - as described in the Keyword Analysis spreadsheet.

There is no set formula on selecting your business' keywords. You will need to review all the results from Google and select 6-10 of the results that meet the following criteria, in order of importance:

a) most closely describe your product

b) is a popular search term (ideally over 10k per month)

c) Is not too competitive (this is ideal, but sometimes, if it describes your product exactly, you may have to compete here - but it could get expensive)

d) Is trending upward or is flat (not trending downward)

There is no right or wrong answer - you'll have to select words you feel comfortable writing about and using to describe your product or service.

Note: You may find some high performing keywords that DO NOT describe your product, but could be a high conversion term, keep this for your secondary keyword list for writing blog posts in the future.
