Setup an A/B Testing Infrastructure

Now that you have several variations of your product value hypothesis, you need to setup multiple landing pages with the different messages to determine which message resonates most with potential users. This is called "A/B testing".

A great tool to use for this step and to see what resonates best with your users is Unbounce.

  • Step 1: Create and account or sign in.
  • Step 2: Create a new landing page
  • Step 3: Choose a Template or start from scratch
  • Step 4: Customize your template and edit the information
  • Step 5: Change Settings and Publish your page
  • Step 6: Publish the page and log back into the dashboard to check on the analytics.

You'll now want to create 1 landing page for your core hypothesis, and one for each of the other variations. Add the URL for the landing page to the Hypothesis Creation Workbook on the step #2 sheet.

Make sure the user knows how, where, and why they need to enter their email address (the "call to action").

The typical call to action is "signup now!", or "signup to get early access!".
