1. Double-click the View Agent installation file.

For Windows 32-bit OS, the file name is:

VMware-viewagent-direct-connection-x.y.z-nnnnnnn.exe.

For Windows 64-bit OS, the file name is:

VMware-viewagent-direct-connection-x86_64-x.y.z-nnnnnnn.exe.

2. The Welcome window appears. Click Next.

3. The License Agreement window appears. Accept the license agreement, click Next.

4. The Configuration Information window appears.

The default TCP port number is 443-in most cases this value should not be changed. There is also a check box to Configure Windows Firewall automatically. This adds a firewall rule for this TCP port to allow incoming connections from Horizon Clients. If the Windows Firewall is running and this firewall rule is not created, then Horizon Clients will not be able to connect.

The TCP port number can be changed after installation if required. Type the TCP port number and select Configure Windows Firewall automatically. Click Next.

5. The Ready to install View Agent Direct-Connection Plugin window appears. Click Install.

6. The installation can take a few minutes. When it finishes the Complete window appears, click Finish.
