1. Launch the View Agent installation from command line.
VMware-viewagent-x86_64-x.y.z-nnnnnnn.exe /v "VDM_SKIP_BROKER_REGISTRATION=1"
The Welcome window appears. Click Next.
2. The License Agreement window appears. Accept the license agreement and click Next.
3. The Custom Setup window appears. Customize the components that you want to install, and change the location where you want to install View Agent. Click Next.
Note: If you double-click the installation file to launch the installation (instead of launching the installation from command line), or didn't specify the parameter VDM_SKIP_BROKER_REGISTRATION=1, the installation process is different
There is an additional step after you click Next on the Custom Setup page. Before you reach the Ready to Install the Program window, the Register with View Connection Server in Install View Agent on Windows Server 2008 R2/2012 as RDSH Role window appears.
You must provide an available View Connection Server and Authentication information to register the server. Click Next.
4. The Ready to Install the Program window appears. Click Install.
5. The Install View Agent window appears and shows installation progress. During installation a popup window asks, "Would you like to install this device software?" Select Always trust software from "VMware, Inc." and click Install.
The installation takes a few minutes to finish.
6. When it finishes, the Installer Completed window appears. Click Finish.
7. The View Agent Installer Information window appears, and requires restart of the system. Select Yes to restart your virtual machine.
