We're surrounded by "guides" of all types. They are in the forms of books, textbooks, product manuals, documents, instruction manuals, and binders.
Over the last 15 years we have seen these profound changes in the way we engage with Video, Audio, and Images. Youtube, Soundcloud, and Instagram have changed the way we engage with videos, music and photos and enables us to expand our "libraries" from a limited personal collection to an unlimited collection created and curated by a global community.
And yet for the information we rely on to get work done, to discover new information, and understand our changing world, our format remains static, disconnected, and fragmented.
You will find it difficult to walk into any office or home today and still find cassette tapes, photo albums, or video tapes and yet physical binders and manuals continue to survive.
It is time for a guide revolution.
