Toronto:

  • E-scooters not permitted
  • October 2019, Council also prohibited parking e-scooters on streets and sidewalks
  • Report on e-scooter oversight and management is forthcoming
  • Bike Share expansion in 2020 will potentially include 300 e-bikes

Windsor:

  • E-scooters permitted as of February 2020, no shared fleet announced

Montreal:

  • E-scooters banned February 2020, after 2019 pilot issues
  • Shared e-bike fleet will continue

Calgary:

  • E-scooters to return in spring 2020, after 2019 pilot but with additional regulations
  • Delayed due to Covid

Edmonton:

  • E-scooters to return in spring 2020 but have been postponed due to Covid

British Columbia:

  • Currently banned, but pilot projects with communities set to start this summer
