Tips for Creative Writing

I know, i know. It`s not about writing but i promise that the next one will be. That part will be about creativity but creativity for Christmas. So let`s talk about it.

Do you want to do something for your creativity? Are you wondering what you can do on the holidays? Then kill two birds with one stone: with the 10 tips for a creative Christmas. Sometimes they meant rather with a wink, but they always have a deeper background. Did you come to taste? Then you are happy to supplement with your own ideas.

1. Follow creative hobbies.

Let's start with something classic: the "usual suspect" for everything creative. For example, crafts, writing, drawing, also like to make music or the like. Get your knitting out. Cling the plasticize to your offspring. After 20 years, grab the "guitar" again. Sing children's songs together. Pull the pencil and start writing. Make gifts for your cat. Do whatever you like about "creative hobbies". The quieter winter days and long winter nights are perfect for that.

2. Allow yourself a creative self-expression.

Let it relax a bit. Put off your "adult, professional" behaviors along with the strict business attire. Give the child room again. For example, play the nativity scene. Put yourself another "person" or "role". Dance singing through the apartment. Fool and fool around with your dog. Whatever your purpose. Allow yourself this kind of creative self-expression.

3. Do something for your education.

Do something for your education. But maybe something different than thought. For example, let yourself be told the story of Christmas by your own or by other children. Let's explain "the thing with the dinosaurs". (Since 6-10 year olds are always blooming.) Get knowledge from a different angle or perspective. So you learn twice: you get to know the dinosaurs with the unspeakable names. And you learn something about how children think.

4. Reminisce.

Reminisce. For example, make a slide evening with a child and a cone, friends, acquaintances or neighbors. The older the photos, the more fun it usually is. Let "do you know" exclamations run wild. Go into associations who might be this funny guy in the back right, etc.

5. Do something different.

Do something different. Do you like going to church at Christmas? Yes? Then bring in a slightly different touch. For example, ask if you can ring the church bells. Extend your usual repertoire by one or the other note. You will see, you will not forget this Christmas so fast.

6. Find the creative variety.

Make a sport out of it right away. For example, celebrate each Christmas in a different way, in a different location, or with other people. Be aware of the creative variety. Do you want to make both your little gray cells and your creativity spin?

7. Take a break.

Go to the silence. Pull back. Spend about a few days in a monastery or hermitage. Make a conscious break from your usual life. Some people need an animated exchange with others just to splash with ideas. But an amazing amount of flashes of inspiration also arise when you give your thoughts the opportunity to calm down and reconnect things.

8. Do not be afraid of the conventions.

Do not be afraid of the conventions, but spend Christmas as you please. If you want to go on vacation to escape the hype, drive. If you do not want to make presents, because you do not want to make the gift a commitment, then leave it. It is your Christmas. It is your job to design it creatively according to your needs. If necessary also against all conventions.

9. Show courage.

Creativity needs courage. The courage not to only think differently, but to act differently. Start with Christmas at the same time. For example, wish everyone who met you a Merry Christmas. Or write small poems in the pedestrian precinct for anyone passing by.

10. Do something crazy.

While you are at it, do something "crazy". Be different, break with conventions and show courage. Do something nonsensical. Something that contradicts the usual. For example, misplace Halloween on Christmas, go door to door and ask for cookies. Or bake Easter bunnies. While it may be that your neighbors are watching you a bit, you are creative. I wish you a lot of fun with these and many of your own ideas.
