E-Bikes

E-Scooters
- 5 yr pilot started in Jan 2020
- Municipalities must opt-in by passing bylaws permitting e-scooter use
- Max speed: 24km/hr, Max weight: 45kg, Max wheel diameter: 17 inches
- Must be 16 yrs old, helmet required < 18 yrs old
- Must use bike lanes, paved shoulder or right side of the roadway
- Must not leave e-scooters in a pedestrian passageway
